The Role
The internship with E.ON was a fantastic experience and enabled me to develop and progress into the position I have today with the company. I worked within a fantastic and welcoming team who were friendly and professional at all times.
I felt valued from day one and immediately was set tasks which were apparent and relevant to the corporate responsibility team, while having access to assistance and guidance from my manager when necessary. I developed and built strong working relationships and could not recommend working within the corporate communications team.
As mentioned previously, my line manager and manager were both very supportive throughout and while I no longer work within the corporate communications team, my professional working relationship has remained and I still seek advice and guidance when necessary.
I remained busy throughout and worked on a variety of projects, both within the corporate responsibility team and in other avenues.
I was given full responsibility to manage two projects and subsequently was successful in achieving the majority of my aims and ambitions from the placement.
The role provided me with the opportunity to continue working for E.ON and helped fast-track my progress onto an opportunity for the E.ON graduate scheme.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was fantastic however often was quiet initially due to the internship occurring throughout the summer, when many of the team are on annual leave.
The internship was organised as you'd expect from a large multinational company.
