The Role
Very stretching placement - difficult at first to understand everything required of me, but I had the support from my team. By end of placement, I was surprised how much I had learnt
Very much so. As a non native English speaker, I thought I would struggle - I didnt!
My manager was supportive, especially when I didnt understand the key points of my job
Always busy - sometimes too much so, but this is better than doing no work at all.
I was really involved in the team tasks and objectives - and felt like I was a valuable team member
I was introduced to some interesting software programs which I hope to use in the future
The Company
I enjoyed the fun aspects of the job - we went out a few times and was allowed to bring my girlfriend along who was also made to feel welcome
Well organised and planned out - very good
I went on an IT training course to help me use the software - this was important as I couldnt have doen the job without it
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I will look to consider fast tracking ontho their graduate programe - either here or back in Germany
The Culture
Lots of night sout and company activities were planned
I lived with my girlfriend for most of the time in the city centre - which I thought was cheap
Lots of bars and nightlife - not all to my taste, but there is usually something for most people
Sports, socialising and clubs were the main activities
