    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • Felt that i was very involved with the work that i was doing. The work was interesting and allowed me to put into practices skills obtained at University.

    • Felt like i was treated as an equal team member, involved to a great exten in many aspects of project work.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?

    • Business restructure had a samll effect on relationship with my manager as he was moved onto a different team. Felt that te support was available if i required it. Overall good.

    • Work plentiful and interesting for the bulk of my placement

    • Given a lot more responsibility than i expected.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • Skills obtained were invaluable. Allowed me to gain a better level of experience that cannot be simulated at University.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • Friendly, informal but also professional and hard working.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?

    • Work had been prepared and i did not feel like i was not receiving a reasonable amount of attention. However, HR queries were often difficult to resolve for somebody in my position.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • External training was not possible due to business restructure, however on the job training was plentiful and of a good nature.

    • Positive. Providing there is not a recruitment freeze and you do an adequate job on your placement you should be walking away with a job!

    • N/A - Living at home.

    • Fair to poor. But if you have a car you can always drive to a closeby city where I am sure the nightlife is much much better.

    • Involved in sporting activities with colleagues outside of work.
