The Role
Really enjoyed my placement and i have picked up some great skills experiences throughout.
Everyone is extremely friendly and welcomed me into the team. I did not feel like an undergrduate but felt like a valued member of the team doing valuable, important work.
Any time i had a problem my manager was willing to help. I was also shown support when offering new ideas and was able to go ahead with implementing these ideas.
There has not really been a time when i have had nothing to do. However, if i did have little to do i asked my managers and they gave me work to get on with.
After the handover period and getting to know my role and each task, i had great responsibilty to get them done and to a high standard. A lot of the tasks i did i did without help and were quite important tasks that had to be completed.
I gained an insight into certain prgrams/systems and processes which came up in my modules/degree when i returned to university. E.g SAP.
The Company
Very fun/chilled out. Everyone was extremely friendly and was eager to find out more about you. Spoke to you about things other than work related subjects. Everyone was good friends.
Very well organised. There was a set handover period so i knew what i was doing and there were set tasks that i were responsible for. It was well managed and organised due to having many previous undergraduates doing the same role. The role was well established.
E.ON is big on development. Any opportunitys to gain more skills/experiences, E.ON and my team were willing to help/facilitate. If i showed a keen interest in another part of the business or wanted to get some different experiences, then my initiative to organise this was welcomed. I also attended many training courses during my placement.

I am really keen to apply for the graduate scheme that E.ON offers. It is a great company to work for and really values its colleagues.
The Culture
I am friends with every placement 西瓜视频 at my site/location of work. We all sit together at Lunch and meet up lots outside of work. There is a great close network of placement 西瓜视频s here.
Reasonably cheap. Lived in a 西瓜视频 area so housing was fairly cheap and socialising/nights out were also cheap.
I lived in the same town where I am at university so the nightlife is great due to the 西瓜视频 buzz and i was still near all my friends who had stayed on at university. If i had not been at university here it still would have been great.
E.ON most often always has some activity going on outside of work whether its a team bowling night or a 'sports day' type event.
