The Role
I did enjoy the placement, however the project areas I could work on were restricted
Nearly everyone treated me as any other employee. I would encourage undergraduates to be valued as any other employee.
Good support. My manager was often very busy and not in the office but support from other members of my team was great when my manager was absent.
I have never felt I have nothing to do.
I was given a fair bit of responsibility but i would have liked to have more.
In comparison to other undergraduates I feel I have not gained as many technical skills as I would have liked due to the nature of my work. However I have been on many useful training courses and overall I have a much better view on the working world going back to university.
The Company
Changeable. At the beginning in was very busy however some colleagues moved out of the office (graduates) and the office has become quiet which i find difficult to work in
I think there are a few areas to work on but E.ON are addressing these
I felt like the department invested as much as they could into training their undergraduates, from health and safety to defensive driving courses.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
There is a potential opportunity to 'fast-track' the graduate scheme, but i have not heard much further information at this point
The Culture
Yes very good. E.ON set up a summer welcome event which was good to get everyone together and meet.
Not bad value for money.
Good nightlife, although some clubs/bars you cannot get in without a 西瓜视频 card
Quite a few such as: Football, netball & pilates
