The Role
It is good to be in a work environment and identify areas that can be related to my degree modules
E.ON's culture is very open, friendly and welcoming
My manager is very supportive and understanding - we have regular contact throughout the week, a semi- formal chat weekly and a formal progress meeting each quarter.
Workload fluctuates but well managed. There is no pressure to stay late etc.
I am called upon to provide timely and accurate information up to board level.
A very good introduction into the world of work.
The Company
Good office atmosphere - no wild parties but everyone has time for you. There are usually biscuits and sweets, and the tea and coffee dispensers are free
IT systems take a while to get set up, but isn't that always the way?
It's self driven - you can apply online for training as you feel necessary. Knowledge sharing and presentations are a regular feature and you will be encouraged to cotribute as much as you can
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
International Travel
Working from home
Good performers are nominated by managers and asked to apply for a graduate position - 2 year fast track with some international experience.
The Culture
I'm a very mature 西瓜视频, so clubbing etc. is history to me.
Would be cheaper, but Warwick University is a mile away, so lots of competition for accommodation. Socialising - dunno.
Not my area of expertise, but Warwick University has a very good reputation, so probably pretty good
Sports & Social offer plenty and if you can muster the support, will fund new activities.
