  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It is good to be in a work environment and identify areas that can be related to my degree modules

  • E.ON's culture is very open, friendly and welcoming

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My manager is very supportive and understanding - we have regular contact throughout the week, a semi- formal chat weekly and a formal progress meeting each quarter.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Workload fluctuates but well managed. There is no pressure to stay late etc.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I am called upon to provide timely and accurate information up to board level.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • A very good introduction into the world of work.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Good office atmosphere - no wild parties but everyone has time for you. There are usually biscuits and sweets, and the tea and coffee dispensers are free

  • IT systems take a while to get set up, but isn't that always the way?

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • It's self driven - you can apply online for training as you feel necessary. Knowledge sharing and presentations are a regular feature and you will be encouraged to cotribute as much as you can

  • Good performers are nominated by managers and asked to apply for a graduate position - 2 year fast track with some international experience.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement 西瓜视频s/colleagues?
  • I'm a very mature 西瓜视频, so clubbing etc. is history to me.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Would be cheaper, but Warwick University is a mile away, so lots of competition for accommodation. Socialising - dunno.

  • Not my area of expertise, but Warwick University has a very good reputation, so probably pretty good

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Sports & Social offer plenty and if you can muster the support, will fund new activities.
