The Role
My year with E.ON has been very enjoyable. They have given me great opportunities and skills for my future.
Although i'm somewhat quiet, i do feel valued by my colleagues, as they are always friendly and helpful when i need it.
My supervisors whilst in the company have given me a good amount of guidance when starting on new projects and are always helpful if i get stuck on something.
Some projects did get a bit samey towards the end, but overall a good balance between working on various projects and personal developement or outside training.
I wasn't running the show, but many of the projects I was given were entirely my own work, and responsible for. These included monthly items which then needed to be presented at meetings.
The planning and organisational skills I have picked up this year are vital to future work. Also my skills when using computer programs and programming have drastically increased.
The Company
There is always someone who you can talk to whilst on a break, Fridays are more relaxed too!
After application the company got back to me very quickly for interviews, and then got back to me very quickly after that to let me know that I had the placement. When I arrived such things as a desk and Email were already set up.
I have been given training from everything from powerplant appreciation to basic first aid training. Including an IOSHH course and safe driving training.

The Culture
All the undergrads and a few graduates meet up every lunch time, we also have meals and nights out to mark various occasions.
Petrol to get to work can be a bit costly, but living costs are nicely inexpensive and socialising doesn't cost that much.
Nottingham is a great city for a night out, with enough different places so noone get bored.
Plenty, mainly at the moment these involve the shutdown games, which includes a sports day, bake-off and go-karting.
