The Role
I really enjoyed it. E.ON is a really innovative company with lots of different areas to the business to explore. I felt that I learnt a lot during my time their and feel that I have developed well as a professional. I would have liked to have learnt more about management and their skills during my time their.
The colleagues I worked alongside were great. They always checked that I was doing okay and helped me if I struggled. They also praised my success and really welcomed me into the team.
My supervisor was great, they regularly met up with me and set me tasks and gave me feedback. My only slight negative comment is that often it was difficult to set up meetings with my supervisor or contact them because they were often away from their office.
There were times when I didnt have enough work to do and that was slightly demotivating however on the whole I had a good project and I was able to learn lots about the industry and develop as a chemical engineer.
I wasn't really given that much responsibility on my placement. I didn't really make any decisions that impacted the company, it was more a learning experience.
I have developed my professional skills, my knowledge of engineering in the power industry and I have gained more confident in asking relevant questions at work.
The Company
The atmosphere was great, everybody was really friendly and they got along with one another. We also had a staff social night out whilst we were their which made the atmosphere even more fun.
Fantastically organised, I had no problems from signing the contract to starting work, everything was in place to make sure my transition from university life to working life was in place.
I wouldn't say that they invested in me in terms of personal development or qualifications however the confidence I gained on my placement was invaluable.

I will be applying to work for them after I finish my university studies. They are a fantastic company with lots of opportunities within the firm, I hope they will accept me.
The Culture
This was something that was lacking from this years intake, however previous years had mentioned they had all had fun together. This was more to do with little effort being made from other placement 西瓜视频s.
It was extremely cheap to live in my area, I spent very little money and it was far cheaper that I had paid out for whilst at university.
It was a standard town with small bars and clubs and numerous restaurants. It wasn't amazing like the cities but there was always a night on somewhere to go out to at the weekend.
There were not really that many opporunties within the company to do activities outside of work, however the local university ran a number of sports clubs which I got involved in.
