About You
I very much enjoyed the insight at BlackRock.
We were all assigned buddies for the project that we were set and our buddies were extremely friendly and made us feel very comfortable. We were even assisted by very high members of the company and they all provided great insight, which made me feel extremely valued.
Because of the nature of the task we were set, we were't given direct answers but were required to gather information by finding and speaking to the relevant people in the company which was very exciting and therefore we learnt a lot more!
It was very useful to see how exactly what I am studying fits in with industry practices.
The Company
Very, very well structured, there was a very good balance between everything we did.
Loved the finance environment, the atmosphere was great.
The first day was all about personal training and skills development and throughout the week as well we were always informed. They had events for us every other day, where they took us out, etc. Overall, it was very well organised and I felt like BlackRock invested a lot in me.
The company is so big, there is obviously a lot to learn, but the task we were set were real life challenges for the company so it helped me understand what it would be like to work for them full time.
Really well, the company culture is excellent, everyone was fantastic.
Everything Else
They also provided lunch and snacks and paid for social events.
Our buddies and other members of the company frequently joined us for social events after work and also for the task we were set, we had opportunities to interact with other members of the company in different teams.
Very very fun.
We found out about volunteering opportunities that are presented to the employees.
(If you love a challenge)
