The Role
Very good insight into the industry and learnt a lot of new skills.
Good chemistry with a close knit team.
Line Manager was always checking on me to make sure I was happy.
Varied throughout the year but busy more often than not which makes for an enjoyable challenge.
Increased throughout the year until I became a key component in the team.
Non-degree skills improved a lot but the placement drew on very little from my course.
The Company
Was in a smaller office so fun when everyone was in but noticed when people were on leave.
Took a while at the beginning to sort inductions etc.
Sent on several safety training courses over the course of the year.
Flexi Time
National Travel
Financial Bonus
Definitely appealing, the graduate scheme offers international placements.
The Culture
Lots of fellow placement people who were good fun but all events were organised by ourselves.
Town centre is expensive but gets a lot cheaper if you go a little further out.
Depends where you go in Nottingham can be very cheap or there are expensive cocktail bars. Good cheap clubs.
Only got told about Badminton where only 3-4 others attended.
