The Role
There is a lot of enjoyability involved in this placement as long as you put in the effort you can be proud of the work you accomplish
It is a nice working environment with a relaxed atmosphere. Everybody is very approachable and understands that you are developing your skills whilst on placement.
Guidance has been extremely minimal with there having to be a largely proactive response from myself.
This all depends on the amount of work you wish to take on and whether or not you search it out. It also relies on the quality of and commitment that you give towards your projects. I have found myself rushed off my feet some weeks whilst some weeks searching around for projects.
Responsibility is given largely if you simply ask for it and act in a responsible manner that conveys that you are capable of it. I believe some of the projects I have been given require somewhat large responsibility because of the organisation required to complete the project on a solo basis.
I believe the skills I have developed whilst on my placement will help me to perform better throughout my degree studies and also be more proficient in my working life afterwards. It has helped me to gain a better more realistic view of the working world and has given me a good insight into the power industry.
The Company
It can vary depending on what projects you are working on or at what point in a project you are at. I have experienced both exciting projects and ones that can be repetetive but are necessary.
Unfortunately there is a lack of organisation at this time regarding the set-up for the year placements. This is looking to be improved upon in the future however as HR are currently addressing this following a review project that we have all been involved in.
I believe that the company has invested a fair amount of personal training and development in myself. The majority of this is dedicated in the form of my colleagues and the advice/tips that they have given me. There is not much of a structured work plan/improvement or review process.

E.ON are a great company to work for and their graduate schemes look worlds more organised than the year placements. I think that anybody working as a graduate for them will be happy with E.ON as a company.
The Culture
Yes there was a great social scene amongst all of the fellow placements 西瓜视频s. This was assisted in by HR but largely if not all down to the undergrads ourselves.
I have lived in Nottingham for 3 years and it is a great place to be as a 西瓜视频/ undergraduate. It is cheap and a great place to live and work.
Ocean Friday 西瓜视频 night for University of Nottingham 西瓜视频s, what more need I say?
There are a few opportunities to get involved in sports such as badminton, golf and football outside of work. These are generally heard of by word of mouth from colleagues and then emails will be circulated to a mailing list.
