    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Thoroughly enjoyed working in the IT department, great people and enjoyable role.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Couldn't ask for more from a team. Always had time for any questions I had, and made coming into work each day a pleasure.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was treated like any other employee, but also got additional mentoring and support when needed.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Some days were a struggle like any job, and I'd rather be too busy than too bored, but overall the workload was fine.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Once I had been trained and learnt the ropes, I was given plenty of responsibility and expected to deliver.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have learnt far more than I expected coming into the placement. It was a steep learning curve but ultimately I learn lots of new things daily.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Great atmosphere, the people made each day a good laugh in addition to getting everything done. Christmas was especially memorable, everyone makes the effort.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The initial process before starting work could have been slightly improved, but once on placement the team I was in took over and provided me with a structured and valuable experience.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I have been on numerous days out on courses, training and conferences. Some were based in the building, some in London and Manchester.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Financial Bonus

    Company Parties/Events

    Above 25 days holiday

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Very good, even though I won't be returning straight away. I've spoken to many people who did a placement and did come back for a job.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement 西瓜视频s/colleagues?
  • Yes, although I wasn't based in the same location and mostly socialised separately. Socialising is encouraged by the HR team during the lead up to starting the placement.

    3/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Very cheap for accommodation in Nottingham. There's something for everyone whatever the budget.

    5/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Nottingham has great night life, apparently some of the best in the UK.

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There were some sports activities organised if you spoke to the right people.
