The Role
Thoroughly enjoyed working in the IT department, great people and enjoyable role.
Couldn't ask for more from a team. Always had time for any questions I had, and made coming into work each day a pleasure.
I was treated like any other employee, but also got additional mentoring and support when needed.
Some days were a struggle like any job, and I'd rather be too busy than too bored, but overall the workload was fine.
Once I had been trained and learnt the ropes, I was given plenty of responsibility and expected to deliver.
I have learnt far more than I expected coming into the placement. It was a steep learning curve but ultimately I learn lots of new things daily.
The Company
Great atmosphere, the people made each day a good laugh in addition to getting everything done. Christmas was especially memorable, everyone makes the effort.
The initial process before starting work could have been slightly improved, but once on placement the team I was in took over and provided me with a structured and valuable experience.
I have been on numerous days out on courses, training and conferences. Some were based in the building, some in London and Manchester.

Working from home
Very good, even though I won't be returning straight away. I've spoken to many people who did a placement and did come back for a job.
The Culture
Yes, although I wasn't based in the same location and mostly socialised separately. Socialising is encouraged by the HR team during the lead up to starting the placement.
Very cheap for accommodation in Nottingham. There's something for everyone whatever the budget.
Nottingham has great night life, apparently some of the best in the UK.
There were some sports activities organised if you spoke to the right people.
