Electronics and Home Improvement Role

We have an Electronics and Home Improvement Executive Placement role within the Hardlines team. As part of the Hardlines team, you will:

  • Explore and Innovate: Identify trends using category and market research to ensure eBay sources and surfaces relevant inventory.
  • Understand and Grow: Familiarise yourself with a wide breadth of sellers, how they operate and how to play to their strengths to deliver strategic plans. Use seller insights to spot growth opportunities and contribute to our success.
  • Build Relationships: Work cross functionally with our Horizontal, c2c, Marketing and Comms teams to ensure we're represented to deliver best in class execution.
  • Customer Insights: Analyse the needs and behaviours of the customer both internally and in the market to ensure we surface the most relevant and compelling offers to our buyers.
  • Performance Monitoring: Become proficient in managing and monitoring performance in order to create insights and recommendations against agreed KPIs, ensuring we consistently meet our goals.

About The Teams:

eBay’s UK Head Office is based in beautiful Richmond right on the riverside, easily accessible from Central London. The team is made up of diversely rich backgrounds and people from all around the world. We’re a relatively small team in the UK so you will need to be able to navigate well across different parts of the business & be flexible within your role. This will enable you to relish the opportunities that come your way and take advantage of also being part of a large, global company.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Currently enrolled in or will receive a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with a graduation date between September 2026 and September 2027.
  • Available to complete a full-time placement starting during September 2025 until the Summer of 2026 (exact dates TBC).
  • On track to receive a 2:1 or above in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
  • Excellent social skills
  • A bias for action
  • A customer first mindset
  • Demonstrates a keen interest in e-commerce through buying and selling on diverse online platforms
  • Passion and curiosity
  • Flexibility to navigate a constantly evolving ecommerce landscape
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to build phenomenal relationships
  • A good use of Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • A passion and curiosity for understanding complex data

We are operating a hybrid model and our UK office offers lots of perks, from massages to catering. We want to ensure our set up is inclusive, safe and fully supports our UK buyers and sellers.
