    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • There was a graduate panel (virtual on day 1, in person on day 2), talks from EY employees about their career, with a focus on their time at EY, some general tips from people who work there (e.g. interview tips, how to excel in the workplace) and a mock assessment centre at the end of day 2. It was a hybrid programme - the second day involved lots of networking as well as presentations.

    Business Insight

  • 3. What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
  • I now have a stronger understanding of the different service lines. There were short talks/panels from people in specific roles but they didn't go into it in too much detail. I think I learned the most from talking to interns at lunch, although the presentations were helpful and there were lots of opportunities to ask questions throughout the day.

    Your Impressions

  • 5. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • It was fun. I found it quite tiring having to constantly network (but that's just me) but the day was well-planned and had a good structure. I enjoyed the interview advice and practice - practical work was much more interesting than listening to speeches, although everyone who gave one was very charismatic and friendly.
