    Business Insight

  • 3. What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
  • While pursuing a computer science-related degree provides insight into the technical aspects, it does not place an individual at a significant advantage, as most professional work requires continuous learning and adaptability. I realised the variety of projects that may be assigned—many of which involve learning something new. Learning about different teams made it clear how I can further develop my technical skills and prepare for a software engineering role.

    Your Impressions

  • 5. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • This was my first insight experience, and I was initially quite nervous. However, once I met my cohort and began networking with them and the employees, I started looking forward to each day, as there was always something new planned. The talks were extremely interesting, and the teamwork activities were great fun.

  • 8. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to J.P. Morgan
  • Be yourself and trust the process. Do the necessary preparation, such as practicing on LeetCode or HackerRank for technical interviews. Prepare a few behavioural questions, but don’t rely on memorising them too much—it’s more appreciated if you can hold a conversation naturally. Be honest about anything you don’t know, and don’t hesitate to ask for clarification or for a question to be reworded.
