The Role
A stimulating job providing exciting opportunities while still maintaining a work/life balance
Very welcoming, regular socials - especially early on - helped integrate me fully into the team.
With a steady flow of client work in addition to ongoing projects, I was always busy, without often being overly so.
I comparison to other placements, I was given a lot of responsibility. I had meetings with clients as well as meetings with very senior members of the company.
There's no doubt that my 8 weeks at Schroders will help me with me degree as my knowledge of the economy is much greater than it was when I started.
The Company
Nice atmosphere, with a good mix of jokes and serious work
Very well organised
We regularly attended training sessions, not just at the start as is the case with some placements.
Sports and Social Club
I would love to work for Schroders in the future and see it as the perfect place to start and further my career
The Culture
People often went out for drinks after work (sometimes too often!) however there was never any pressure to join in if you didn't want to. We had some organised social events such as sporting events and wine tasting which all added to the general experience.
Very expensive, however colleages were very good with supplying the interns with drinks.
Central London, doesn't get much better!
Wine tasting, sports teams, attending sports events to name a few.
