Overview
I was working in the Life Insurance team. I had to learn all the different products the company offer and I worked in the proposition of new ideas in order to make the Life cover, income cover and critical illness cover products more inclusive and sustainable.
Skills
I developed a lot of personal and professional skills during my 8 weeks in HSBC. I was able to improve my networking skills through all the 1:1 and team meetings. I also improve my time management skills by organising my day to day tasks. I developed my presentation skills thanks to many feedbacks I received from my management each time I presented my researches.
Responsibilities
I was entirely responsible for my own project. It has been an amazing opportunity to improve time management and project management. I had to personally reach out to the stakeholders and talk to them on a daily basis. I was also entirely responsible for a newsletter and I had a lot of opportunities to bring and implement fresh ideas.
Support & Guidance
HSBC really put a lot of attention on your personal development. I had a lot of materials : articles, videos, LinkedIn courses, development sessions and weekly speeches from senior managers. moreover, there are a lot of people to reach out to. the On Programme Manager which is a graduate that help you, the GradCoach but also the entire emerging talent team is always there to support you.
Culture
HSBC is the company I dream to work in the future. All the values they have are perfectly align to mine, and during these weeks I deeply understood how much the bank is doing to create a positive work environment. They care about diversity and inclusion and respect of every culture and I think this is wonderful. Everyone is very nice and they are always ready to help you

This has been the most insightful experience I have ever had in my life. This internship is a full immersion experience in developing yourself on a professional and on a personal point of view. The takeaways from this internship will remain with me for the rest of my life. To be honest, it has really overcome the expectations I had .
Yes
Be yourself from the first moment! HSBC will be able to value you, from day one to the end of the internship, with all the stakeholder you will interact you must remain yourself. HSBC is a bank made of people, so if you will be real they will appreciate it.
