Overview
Each day I was involved in reconciliation-based trading controls that ensured the accuracy of the firm's books and records. I was also involved in some project work to maximise the efficiency of the processes carried out by my team.
Skills
I developed my excel and data analysis skills considerably. I also improved my communication and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
I was individually responsible for 3 daily reconciliations which was a considerable responsibility. These were all thoroughly checked but still gave me a sense of independence.
Support & Guidance
I was well supported by many of my colleagues. Many offered career advice and catch up opportunities.
Culture
Very positive! Culture of innovation and maximising efficiency of processes employed was clear to me from the beginning.
Your Impressions
