Overview
During the spring week, we learnt about Morgan Stanley as a global business and how they operate. There were firmwide sessions with speaker panels, professional skills sessions and networking lunches. The divisional days involved very interactive sessions including work shadowing where we visited the trading floors, trading games and a practice sales pitch. We finished the week off with a charity activity with all the divisions.
Skills
I have developed my networking skills as there were many networking events throughout the week. I also improved my commercial awareness and technical knowledge.
Business Insight
It was incredibly insightful and interesting learning about how the business operates. I did not realise just how many roles there are just within sales and trading.
Culture
Everybody was very welcoming and friendly. I felt very comfortable asking questions.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed the spring week! The S&T program was a lot more interactive than I had anticipated. I loved meeting everybody on the program.
