    • Department were very welcoming

    • Responsibility grew as the internship progressed and I had a better understanding of ECM

    • The degree I take at university has nothing to do with ECM, however I learnt a lot about the business world in general which is incredibly valuable for later life

    • Professional but friendly atmosphere

    • HR organised weekly activities for interns which allowed us to understand HSBC as a whole

    • A good social scene but the hours were long which limited socialising

    • Canary wharf can be expensive, particularly for lunch

    • You would tend to go into central London for the nightlife
