The Role
This was by far the best internship I have ever done
I felt very valued by my colleagues who were all very willing to explain aspects of the business to me and involve me in their daily projects.
I could not have asked for a better mentor and graduate buddy. They both spent much time with me answering all of my questions. I now have a very good understanding of many aspects of the business.
I was always busy and at times had been given a lot of responsibility. However that was my preference.
For a summer intern I was given a lot of responsibility including client facing initiatives which was fantastic.
This internship was very pivotal for me in terms of the skills and exposure I received to the real estate industry. Consequently I now have a job with a brilliant client side firm which would not have been possible without this internship.
The Company
My particular team was lively, balanced gender wise and fun. There was always something going on and the office in general is a very open and friendly place.
Very well organised. It was great to be introduced to the other interns and there were many social events organised which was helpful. There were mid placement reviews which I found really good to discuss what I had actually learnt and whether the objectives I set at the beginning were on target to being met. I also had an end of placement review with my mentor.
I was given a lot of time and attention by my mentor and buddy. There were also numerous intern wide talks organised to give us an insight into other aspects of the business, which were really interesting.
I was able to take aptitude tests on the internship which were used to decide whether I should attend an assessment day or not. I was offered a job with them subsequently but not as a direct result of the internship.
The Culture
Yes there were many intern social events organised such as an introductory meal and a soft ball match against another property company. There were lots of drinks and nights out organised informally too.
In the heart of Mayfair the cost of socialising nearby is relatively high but there are definitely places to go and the transport links are brilliant.
Very good.
Lots of opportunities
