Overview
The role involved being assigned a variety of tasks by team members often involving organisational tasks to help the team increase their knowledge on the residential developments around the UK. This includes research into residential developments in specific counties, creating developer lists for easier access for the team, calls to local estate agents asking for updates on the market etc.
Skills
Increased knowledge on using excel Improved on organisational skills including layouts of documents and working on formal language Conversation skills within the office but also to estate agents Confidence within the work place, demonstrating curiosity and asking questions on how to complete tasks to the best of my ability.
Responsibilities
Yes I was but not an overwhelming amount, I was given non-urgent tasks but if there was one that needed to be done sooner I received help.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support anytime I had questions I was helped and received guidance on how to complete tasks.
Culture
Everyone was very friendly, eager to help and had an interest on getting to know me better as a person.
Your Impressions
I loved my placement. My favourite part was getting to be involved in a socially aware proactive, friendly team who had similar interests to me and made an effort to get to know me. Not only were they inviting they also helped me complete my tasks to a high standard giving me a real flavour of what the team is like day to day and what their responsibilities are.
Yes
I would say make sure to be yourself in the recruitment process, they appreciate honesty and and enthusiasm. Ensure you demonstrate passion for the role when applying.
